Overview
League of Walkers is a social walking game for private friend groups. This policy describes how the Android app handles data: Google sign-in, Supabase account and profile storage, Android Health Connect daily step summaries, and minimal AdMob banner ads.
Data collected
League of Walkers may collect:
- Google sign-in account identifiers, such as email address, display name, and avatar if Google provides them.
- App profile information, such as display name, Animal Buddy choice, and Buddy nickname.
- Daily step summaries from Health Connect, including step count, local date, timezone, source, sync timestamp, and trust/source label.
- Technical account and session data needed to keep users signed in and protect the service.
- Advertising-related identifiers or consent signals when AdMob banner ads are enabled by Google Mobile Ads and Google UMP.
League of Walkers does not collect raw high-frequency health samples, GPS location, contacts, calories, weight, medical records, or payment information in the current MVP.
How data is used
Data is used to:
- create and secure user accounts;
- display the user profile and Buddy;
- show daily step summaries;
- support private walking leagues and challenges;
- show discreet banner ads in non-critical areas after consent handling;
- maintain app reliability and prevent misuse.
Health data is not sold.
Data sharing
League of Walkers uses service providers needed to run the app, including Supabase for authentication, database, and session infrastructure. Google sign-in is used for authentication. Google AdMob is used for minimal banner ads when enabled.
Health Connect data
League of Walkers requests the minimum Health Connect permission needed to read daily step totals. Raw health samples stay off the server. Users can revoke Health Connect access through Android settings or Health Connect settings.
Data retention and deletion
Users can request account deletion from Settings. Deletion removes private profile details, avatar URL, daily step summaries, notification preferences and tokens, and reactions created by the deleted account. The user is removed from active private leagues.
To keep shared challenge history understandable for remaining Walkers, past group and challenge records may retain a minimal anonymized profile label such as "Former Walker" instead of the user's name, avatar, or Buddy nickname. Raw Health Connect samples are never stored, and deleted daily step summary rows are not retained in the app database.
Children
League of Walkers is not directed to children under 13.
Changes
This policy will be updated whenever the app adds analytics, crash reporting, payments, iOS support, Apple Health, data export, production ad units, mediation, or other new data practices.
